Ceremonies & Rituals

Updated: Feb 10, 2022

Our soul understands rituals, ceremonies, as well as constellations.

Rituals and ceremonies used to be very common among people in the past. They were often associated with a beginning of a new phase in life, a new project or the end of a phase, as well as the farewell of a person due to separation or physical death.

“Our soul also understands our connection with nature, especially the moon, the sun and the star constellations.”

This connection plays an important role when we work with rituals, with healing plants, with sweat lodges, and special initiations, like the vision quest.

Image of Soul

We’re actively creating an image of the soul, which enters our subconscious and begins to spread out. This gives us a deep understanding of it on all levels. It has nothing to do with intellectual understanding but rather with an understanding that goes down to our roots.

Gratitude

“t is important to plant every seed, every new beginning consciously and in beauty.”

Likewise it’s important to let go of every ending in peace and with a sense of beauty and gratitude, in order to be able to start a healthy new chapter. Beginning and end, life and death in the infinity of life.

Stories for Rituals

Doing rituals and ceremonies is a passion of mine, which I’ve learned from many different cultures and which I work with and live by. Some stories and examples of rituals: When saying goodbye to someone who died and accompanying the soul, so that it can continue its journey in love, peace and forgiveness. It’s important for the relatives to be able to let go, so they can be of support and feel joy in this process of leaving. In life before the physical death a lot of small farewells happen, which can feel like dying, too. For example, when a relationship/a friendship ends or finds a new direction.

Beginning & Ending

“A clear beginning and a clear ending are always decisions that we make, and decisions are like arrow, which we shoot in one specific direction.“

If we can’t decide, our energy will be scattered, and the arrow cannot go in the right direction because there is no clear direction. Only a single-minded decision can make the arrow go in the right direction. A lot of the time we’re frightened to make a decision because we don’t want to lose other opportunities or simply because we cannot say no. Without knowing how to say no, we won’t know how to say yes. Rituals are helpful here, as they can be supportive in setting new beginning. That’s why it’s nice to welcome new places and homes or to say goodbye as we leave because they too have a soul. The same goes for projects, work, shops... Or when our child has grown up and leaves the house, when we enter a new phase in life, teenage years, adulthood.

Love too wants to be ritualized, for instance as we say our vows during a wedding ceremony, or when we make a commitment/promise to the one we love. There are many examples of how rituals can be applied, wherever there is a beginning and an ending. Music and prayers are a major support for us during rituals, as well. Since we humans consist to a large extent of water, it’s the element of water in us that wants to flow in harmony. That’s why instruments, mantras, and Icaros (singing prayers) can contribute towards creating inner balance.

The Prayer

“We connect with our Mother Earth and our Father Heaven, we connect with the feminine and masculine power within us and around us. We ask for the knowledge of what has been there so long before us.“

The left side for the femininity, the deep unconscious, the soul, the moon and we honor and see behind us on the left our mother and our mother's parents grandfather and grandmother, great grandfather and grandmother. So, on this side, like a flare, we see all our ancestors standing behind us, giving us all their strength and support.

On the right side we connect with the masculine part in us, the conceptual thinking, the material side, the sublime and the sun. We see in our inner eye on the right behind us our father, then grandfather and grandmother, then great-grandfather and great-grandmother. So we see behind us on the right all our ancestors like a luminous string behind us, we feel their support, their knowledge and we ask that now the time has come to be allowed to do it differently, to take the next evolutionary step of humanity. The awareness that everything is one.

Ying & Yang

We are now ready to call into being the tenderness, the truthfulness, the sensitivity. We call for support so that we come into the balancing of ying and yang. With the goal of female and male balance in harmony with ourselves and our environment, to live on our Mother Earth in forgiveness, love, peace. For the benefit of all living beings on this planet of our mother earth, the wonderful paradise.

“Thanks to the great consciousness that we are allowed to experience with all our forms, emotions, to be able to become one again.“

So that we may float warmly together in the sea of the great consciousness, knowing we are never alone are one and yet each for himself. Connected with us and everything that is, was and will be.

Silence

To go into silence to perceive this space where nothing happens, between thoughts, in the space between things there where freedom is. The silence, the calm, the peace, just as the inhalation as a symbol of life, the silent pause, the exhalation as a symbol of our last breath to death. The cycle of life and death, sun and moon, yin and yang, day and night. We can accept everything as it is, because as it is, it is there and is life.

We ask for the complete power of the present in the here and now to discover and internalize potentials in us, we let ourselves be surprised by what is and all that is possible. May the space of silence in us and around us be ever present and intoxicating, may truthfulness fathom the depths of our souls and connect us.
